Highlighting Tech Workforce Challenges with Joel Crandall of MNTech

Our home state of Minnesota is a recognized leader in many areas, but meeting our current and future technology workforce needs is a growing concern. Joel Crandall, from the Minnesota Technology Association, joins us in our studios to discuss MNTech's leadership on this issue and the research that supports it. Joel also shares some behind-the-scenes perspectives on how MNTech leverages data to benefit members and the greater community. Changes will be needed in our educational systems and hiring practices to help address this gap.

Joel Crandall is the Vice President of Talent at the Minnesota Technology Association.

I lead the team that brings our tech visions to life, building the powerful tools behind our leading-edge data solutions. With over 25 years in association market data—as a consultant, software developer, and information architect—I know a thing or two about creating solutions that put your association at the center of your members' data universe. When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me listening to vinyl, hitting the bike trails, or gearing up for a game of broomball.
